A Christmas DIY Project With an Old Frame and Chalkboard Paint

When I came across this frame at Goodwill, I thought: that gold frame is sooo pretty!

So I bought the picture frame knowing I could make the inside into something pretty to match the awesome frame. And it's the perfect time of year for a Christmas DIY project!
I'm teaming up with a group of bloggers for Hometalk.com and CountryLiving.com's series! The projects are all fabulous. Click on the hashtag to check them out!

This was my first project with chalkboard paint and it's safe to say, I'm in love.
This definitely won't be my last chalkboard paint project.
Here are the steps I followed:
1. Shake the chalkboard paint.
2. Paint the material.
3. Line up your stencils.
I wanted a Christmas theme, so I went with all the reindeer names.
I didn't have enough stencils to spell out every name without reusing some stencils, but I had enough to figure out my layout.
Head on over to my blog to see the full project tutorial and finished project, plus other fun Christmas mantel decorating ideas!
