To make the washi tape trees, I created a center line with a weighted piece of twine tied to a push pin, and marked my measurements on my walls with chalk because it's clean and easy to wipe off when you're finished.
For my measurements on my medium tree, I measured and marked down the center line every 7 inches {I marked larger increments on my larger trees, etc}.
Then, at each of the 7" intervals I measured equal distances from the center and marked the wall, repeating the process at each interval by equally adding inches to the length from the center.
For example, my first set of marks were 4" from the center on each side.
My second set were 7" from center, then 9", then 12", and so on.
Then, I cut the smaller cross pieces and connected all the points.
