This old and dingy white tree was going to be thrown away, but I volunteered to take it. That was 5 years ago. It had been stored in a box, and was really pitiful looking when I ran across it in storage. I scoured Pinterest for ideas...and decided to spray paint it black. I am very traditional so this was a hard decision--but hey, it was free, so I wouldn't be out anything but 6 cans of black spray paint from our local dollar store...and a little time! I decided to use a planter we weren't using anymore, and sprayed it silver. I am pleased with how it turned out.We brought it inside and my husband stabilized it in the planter. I had a glass top pedestal I used to sit it on in my foyer.I used silver and white mesh, and silver and white decorations that I already had on hand. Done!If you look really closely, you can see that some of the white didn't get painted, but it looks fine with the decorations.I am pleased with how it turned out!Original article and pictures take http://www.hometalk.com/11793387/dingy-white-tree-tree-spray-painted-black site
