Giant Quilting Hoop Christmas Ornaments

Walking through the craft store I realized that the quilting hoops hanging up looked an awful lot like Christmas ornaments. I said as much to Rob and while we were still in the store I decided that I was going to make it happen!

With a ton of glitter and big, bold patterns these ornaments are once I am very happy with!





Paint your quilting hoops after taping off the screw parts.





Secure the fabric in the hoop and use a sharp blade or knife to trim the excess from the back.





Use glue to draw on your fabric everywhere you want to glitter the pattern working a small area at a time.





If you glitter over paper you can easily collect the glitter each go and reuse it or put it back into the bottle to limit waste.





At the end I realized that i needed to paint the wooden part of the hoops a different color to better look like the little plug thingamajiggie on real ornaments but all in all it was a pretty easy craft. I have HUGE decorations that glitter and shine and I love them so much!
