Looking for a cute winter recycled project? Empty bottles of lemon juice make great snowmen! Especially wonky ones! And we all can use a little wonkiness in our lives from time to time. For a complete tutorial check it out here: http://plumperfectandme.blogspot.com/2015/12/recycled-juice-bottle-snowmen.htmlIt was so much fun putting these cuties together using juice bottles, paint, Snow-tex, glue, twigs, beads, felt and other accessories and embellishment to outfit them.
To begin, remove the labels from the bottles and clean with soap and water. Remove the bottle top using a hot knife or craft knife and cover the opening with white duct tape.
Next, spray on a white primer and let dry.
Then spread on Snow-tex (available in craft stores and Amazon) using a plastic knife and let dry for a few hours following directions.
Once the Snow-tex is dry - the fun begins! Starting from the top, make a top-hat out of felt and . . .
glue on beads for the eyes, twigs for the arms, and seed beads for the mouth! Follow the illustrations below on how to make the nose out of a foam sheet and then . . .
glue on the finished nose. Small branch slices were cut for the buttons and attached with glue.Oh,
Sprigs of faux white sprays, berries and holly leaves (cut out of glitter foam) decorate the hat!
Oh, let's add a plaid "scarf" for his neck!
And a snowman needs a mate, so Ms Snow was decked out in her red hat made of fleece and cardboard, beads, rhinestones and rouge for her cheeks!
What a fun snow couple!
