Nothing makes me prouder than watching my kids overcome their self-doubt and punch, or kick, their way to another level in Karate. But, when they come to me with a stack of broken boards I always ask myself, "Now what am I going to do with these?"
As a parent I want to keep them for sentimental reasons and as a thrifty crafter I'm sure I can come up with SOMETHING to make with them. After a couple of years and many boards I've finally made a dent in the stack by turning the mismatch boards into a mismatch coat rack.
Sorry the lighting in the hallway is horrible, but this colorful rack was just what our stark white walls needed!
