Winter Skate Update

These cute skates desperately needed updating this year! They had no curb appeal and I was determined to make them the belle of the Christmas ball!

While shopping for a few Christmas gifts, it popped into my head that my little skates that I had sitting on the hearth could use some love for the holidays. When I left the store, I made a quick trip to Dollar Tree to pick up a few supplies.

The first change I made was removing the black shoe strings and adding the white ones. Why hadn't I made this change earlier...it made such a difference with this one change. After the shoestring exchange, I cut the fur collar off of the stockings I purchased. Don't let the kiddos see this part. I don't want them telling Santa that I maimed some Christmas stockings.
